The majority of the Democratic House took power on Thursday with an infusion of women and people of color. Republicans, not so much.
GOP strategist Stuart Stevens on Friday criticized the views of his party's representatives, saying they looked like members of a 50's board – that is, a group of whites.
In contrast, a photo of the Democrats looked like "America and our future," tweeted Stevens, who was one of the key contributors to Senator Mitt Romney's (R-Utah) presidential campaign in 2012 against Barack Obama.

Romney's resounding defeat of Obama convinced the Republican party to conduct an "autopsy" of what happened. The problem, according to the 2013 Growth and Opportunity report, was that the party was appealing to fewer and fewer Americans, implying suicide based on demographics. The report concluded that the GOP was supportive of conservative and wealthy aging white voters, but of insane women and minorities, and therefore encouraged greater party inclusivity.
