A jury said that an Idaho science teacher who had fed a dying puppy last year was not guilty of animal cruelty, according to reports.
Robert Crosland's two-day trial in Preston, a rural community in the southeastern part of the state, came to an end on Friday after a six-member jury delivered its verdict after 30 minutes of deliberation.
Students testified that they had seen the turtle-fed puppy in March, the Idaho Statesman reported. The puppy was entrusted to Crosland's son, Mario, by a farmer who had declared that he was sick and dying.
