KrAZ made a present to the Ukrainian army (Photo) – MMR – Motor Media Review

PJSC "AvtoKrAZ" in the early days of the new 2019 made a Ukrainian military gift, having shipped to the customer a new all-wheel drive chassis, KrAZ-7634Ne, of the 8х8 wheeled formula.

Self-propelled chassis with a load capacity of 27 tons intended for the installation of special heavy equipment. From its predecessors, it differs more powerful – 460 hp – a motor and an automatic transmission whose maximum torque is calculated at 2500 N / m. This aggregation, associated with the transmission of passage, allows to achieve high dynamic characteristics of traction of the car. In addition, at the customer's request, the exhaust system is located between 1 and 2 decks with exhaust to the right during the movement of the car. Instead of two rectangular fuel tanks of 350 tonnes, two round sections of 165 liters are installed.

A car with hitch diagram "in front of the engine", has a frame installation length of 8080mm, the overall outside rotation radius is 14m. The chassis comprises the first and second controlled axles, all the bridges being in the lead. The steering mechanism is built-in type with an integrated hydraulic booster, which reduces the force on the steering wheel to 10 kgf, which greatly reduces driver fatigue. A complete drive of all the wheels ensures the operation of this self-propelled vehicle under conditions of impassability.

The cab exhibits high ergonomic performance and features a low landing of 2800 mm (for comparison: KrAZ-7140N6 (8×6) – 3170 mm), which allows easy positioning. A different special equipment is installed on the roof of the cabin and a wide windshield offers a breathtaking view of the road. The cab, as well as the engine casing, are painted with a green protective paint.
