WBC and IBF boxing organizations change rules: reforms will affect Asyka and Carnation

The WBC decided to adopt the following rules:

The organization will soon be informed of how the fines will be imposed on the fighters for non-compliance with the "safe weight" rules.

3. Weigh on the eve of the battle. The WBC has also decided to make a weighing rule on the eve of the fight. A fighter does not have the right to earn more than 10% of the results of the official weigh-in.

4. WBC reserves the final decision to those who break the rules:

a) may be a warning, b) a fine of up to $ 5,000 (for non-compliance with the first two paragraphs), c) Cancellation of the battle, d) a fine corresponding to the amount up to 30% of the fee (for violation of point 3.)

The following changes have been made to the IBF rule:

1. Previously, a mandatory bidder in the case of promotional bids claimed only 25% of the total prize money, the remaining 75% being awarded to the champion. Now, the distribution of the winnings will be in a ratio of 65/35 in favor of the champion.

2. If the fighters compete for the vacant title, the distribution of the prize pool remains unchanged: 50/50.

3. In cases where a mandatory bidder occupies the 3rd position or a lower position in the organization's ranking, the distribution of the prize pool is 85/15 in favor of the champion.

4. The applicant has the right to appeal the distribution of the prize pool. In this case, the decision will be made by a vote of the members of the Board of Directors of the IBF.
