The exact nature and origin of radio signals are unknown.

Of the thirteen fast radio pulses, there was a very unusual repetitive signal coming from a single distant sources of about 1.5 billion light years

Such a signal was not available. It was observed only once when another telescope captured it. – says astrophysicist Ingrid Steir of the University of British Columbia

"If there are more signals and repetitive sources of research, we will be able to understand these cosmic puzzles – from Where they come from and what causes them, "said the scientist.

The Observatory CHIME, located in British Columbia, consists of four 100-meter semi-cylindrical antennas that scan the northern skies daily.

The telescope started operating only last year and detected almost immediately 13 fast radio pulses, including a repetitive signal

Studies have been published in the journal Nature.

Scientists discovered about 60 fast radio pulses and two repetitive pulses.

They believe that there may be about a thousand a day.

There are several theories about what can cause them.

For example, we think that their source could be a neutron star with a very powerful magnetic field that turns very fast or merges two neutron stars.

Some researchers also believe that alien spacecraft can emit signals.
