"These meetings should not be considered as a court in the case of seafarers," added Novikov.

Note that Russia has already spoken of a court hearing at which Ukrainian prisoners of war will continue to apply the precautionary measure. The most plausible date is therefore called on the 15th of January.

How do Ukrainian sailors manage to be captured by Russia? On November 25, a Russian border ship struck a tug of the Ukrainian military forces in the Kerch Strait. It is known that two small armored Ukrainian artillery boats and raids were conducted in accordance with international standards, from the port of Odessa to the port of Mariupol.
