Within hours of revealing that the investigators thought the missing child had been killed, the San Antonio police had spent much of the night on Thursday and Friday morning Northeast Side

The search lasted hours near the I-35 and Rittiman Road area, under a bridge near the huge HEB warehouse complex . The police did not confirm that they found anything on the site.

In addition to the active search, police sources said that the father of the child, Christopher Davila, was facing a new charge of a child's injury in the case.

Davila was arrested Thursday night on a related charge of falsifying evidence; his mother Beatrice and her cousin Angie Torres were also charged. It is possible that the charges against Davila are improved.

King Jay Davila went missing a week ago by what the police described as an organized kidnapping. On Thursday, SAPD chief William McManus said the investigators thought the child was dead, but that they were still looking for him.

Before the revelation of SAPD, King Jay's mother had told us on the phone, "My son is gone, somebody knows something."
