Let's compare two smartphones – the Galaxy A8 and the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE. SE rated at 2-3 thousand hryvnia cheaper and technically more powerful A8. However, not everything is so simple. The A8 on Ali can be bought for 11 thousand UAH and the Mi 8 SE for 8 thousand UAH.
The Mi-8 SE has a Snapdragon 710, 6 GB of RAM and a trident cut. In both cases, screens of approximately the same quality. And in the context of a rather modest processor Exynos 7885 Octa and 4GB of RAM Galaxy, many will immediately want to buy Xiaomi. However, there is a question. There is no NFC in the SE, there is no protection IP68 in the SE and Galaxy A8 is present.
Moreover, the A8 uses the Samsung Experience shell and, on the bottom of the Xiaomi shell, it is more elegant, thoughtful and beautiful. Mi 8 SE is powerful, but it has a terrible shell with bad fonts, with bad application icons that have a different look in each case, from which the desktop becomes a mess. Everything in MIUI is cheap.
The main element of a smartphone is its software. The Galaxy A8 is even more attractive because of the weakness of its processor and the quality of its hull.
Another problem of the company's smartphones is the lack of normal assistance. . Mi 8 SE does not support global firmware in Russian or Ukrainian. You can only configure an informal solution. In addition, to install a firmware in Russian or Ukrainian, you have to wait 3 months before unlocking the boot loader. It is as complicated as possible to buy a smartphone in China.
