New Jersey School Districts Call for Deferred Openings
New Jersey school districts began announcing delayed openings for Monday after a snowstorm dropped several inches of snow in parts of southern New Jersey from Jersey and along the New Jersey coast.
For much of the state, the storm was a non-event event with just a coating or a few inches of snow. But that was another story south of the fast lane of Atlantic City.
A winter storm warning for the counties of Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland was due to expire Monday at 4 am. Another inch of snow could fall overnight Sunday, the National Weather Service announced in an evening update.
According to a National Weather Service spokesperson in Mount Holly Atlantic City International Airport recorded 4.9 inches of snow Sunday night. At Mount Holly, 1.3 inches of snow fell.
The following school districts made announcements regarding delayed openings for Monday. This list will be updated as more ads are made on Sunday night.
