Charges laid against the Oklahoma couple after her 3-year-old daughter died with a 17-pound tumor

A couple from Oklahoma, whose 3-year-old daughter died of cancer on January 3 and a 17-pound tumor, is charged with Manslaughter for their alleged negligence, the Lawton Constitution.

Authorities in Lawton, Oklahoma, responded to reports of an unconscious toddler in a motor home, according to the newspaper. The girl was unconscious but was breathing and suffering from a 17-pound tumor, the report said.

She was then taken to the hospital, where she died later. First responders stated that at least six other children were living with the couple in the camper, the report says.

Parents of the child – Bonnie Beth Mills-Lilly, 42, and Henry Clarence Lilly III, 49 years old – did not seek medical care for the child, authorities said. The location of the tumor was not clear

The couple was arrested and charged Thursday with first-degree manslaughter, according to the report. They are punishable by a minimum sentence of four years in jail if they are convicted, according to the report.

Lawton is approximately 90 km southwest of Oklahoma City.
