Police officers encircled a loading dock at a New Jersey UPS facility Monday, after receiving a report from a shooter inside the warehouse.

A spokeswoman for Gloucester County confirmed the presence of an active shooter in a UPS warehouse in Logan Township, Gloucester County. The building is on Birchcreek Road and police have blocked roads in the area. The warehouse is located in an industrial park.

A spokesman for the Gloucester County Attorney's Office said "the situation is under control".

"We have an active incident on site," chief of staff Tom Gilbert said by phone. "Tactical elements have been deployed."

Gilbert adds that law enforcement is a method of "collecting facts".

The Logan Township schools were placed in a "modified" pen, according to the district's website.
