A man who took his ex-girlfriend and another hostage Monday at a New Jersey United parcel processing center fired a shootout that prompted police to go to the scene, reported sources at Fox News.
Fox News said "shots were fired" on the site, located about 20 miles south of Philadelphia. A police source later told Fox News that no one had been shot, and that the alleged gunman was a man known to local law enforcement officials who had taken his ex-gunman. girlfriend and another person held hostage inside the building.
The installation was reported for the first time around 9 am, provoking a significant response from local officials and the county. A video and photos of the scene showed police cars surrounding the loading dock of the building in Logan Township. There were armed officers squatting behind one of the vehicles.

The installation of the UPS has been evacuated. A modified confinement, meaning that no one can enter or leave the building, was ordered in three schools in Logan Township after the alleged gunman.
New York City police said they were also watching the situation.
