Los Angeles teachers want more than an increase: here's why 30,000 people are on strike

More than 30,000 teachers went on strike in Los Angeles County today. The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), serving 640,000 students, is the second largest school district in the country. The last time teachers in Los Angeles went on strike was in 1989.
