Democrats want to censor or reprimand the Congressman of Iowa, a scathing penalty. A Democratic member of the Congressional Black Caucus, Bobby L. Rush of Illinois, announced Monday that he would introduce a resolution to censor Mr. King for his story of "racist racist remarks."

King defended himself on Friday in a speech to the House of Representatives, stressing that he was raising a historical question about the language and that he was "simply an American nationalist."
