Atlantic magazine says it's time to dismiss President Donald Trump.
The March edition of the magazine invites the House of Representatives to "immediately open a formal imputation inquiry". Trump failed to keep his oath and "routinely privileged his personal interest beyond the responsibilities of the presidency". editor-in-chief Yoni Appelbaum.
The president also "demanded that officials place their loyalty before him, before duty to the public," "showing little respect for the rule of law" and "repeatedly trampling" constitutional rights.
"These actions are, in short, an attack on the very foundations of American constitutional democracy," Appelbaum added, calling the dismissal "essential protection against the dangers of a president like Trump's". He called the dismissal "a process, not a culmination". which would allow an investigation on Trump with rules-related procedures.
