The new Skoda Superb "lit" with minimal camouflage

In the presence of the sales manager, in the face of the Octavia model, extremely controversial decision to split the headlights, we worried about the introduction of a similar design element on the upper models of the Skoda line

. It can now be argued that this will not happen. Given the new spy photos, the small camouflaged prototype and the Czech Volkswagen Passat brother are the only lighthouses. The exterior of the headlights has changed and this is mainly due to the fact that they have switched from xenon to full LED.

At first glance, the tested car has nothing disguised except in the model. Skoda Superb 2019 is still a little camouflage of color. This is visible on the front bumper, particularly on the cutouts for the parktronic and the bonnet for the tow hook. You can also see it on the edges of the grille and also between the headlights and the grill. This may indicate that the headlights are getting closer to the grille, which will further widen the visual appearance of the front end.

Being an update of an existing model, it is no wonder that the car almost looks like the current Superb. Changing the door and / or window would be too expensive for a simple upgrade. However, the taillights have already acquired a sharper design and there may also be camouflage between them and the trunk. This is probably done to hide the chrome strip. The fact that Skoda will not join other automakers for the implementation of normal-sized light strips will actually only constitute a chrome panel.

Superb has already switched to the latest Skoda information and media system. No major changes are expected in the cabin. The top panel of the devices has a touchscreen without buttons of 9.2 inches. Under "Ignorance" means that there is no physical control, since there are only touch controls for the menu, the homepage, the volume and food. Only the power button is on the left side of the screen.

The "illuminated" prototype has a double pulse, indicating that it was equipped with a powerful 2.0 TSI engine providing 276 kp. for all-wheel drive thanks to a seven-speed automatic transmission with double clutch. In addition, the Superb is expected to become the first Skoda model in history to be electrified using the hybrid system.

The 2019 Superb is expected to appear later this year, but not before the appearance of his most valuable VW colleague.
