Photo: The interplanetary station transmitted a photograph of Jupiter's hurricanes to the Earth

An automatic interplanetary station "Juno" has uploaded new images of Jupiter to Earth. One of them hit the famous Great Red Spot and another hurricane.

As reported on the NASA website, the photo was taken during a reconciliation with the gas giant on December 21. It was combined three strokes from a distance of 38,300 km to 55,500 km. It shows two major hurricanes: the Great Red Spot and Oval VA, emerged after the merger of three separate hurricanes in 2000. The Great Red Spot itself was likely also formed as a result of a similar process there is several centuries.

Launched in 2011, Juno Station was flown for the first time by Jupiter across the poles of the planet. The device has already transmitted to the Earth photos of volcanoes on Io, the most volcanically active body in the solar system. "Juno" has also made interesting images of the atmospheric phenomena of the gas giant – "dolphin" and "barges".
