In Slovakia, customs officers and police arrested a Ukrainian driver who was carrying 37 rounds of parmesan cheese weighing about 1.5 tonnes.

The checks in the car revealed 37 hard cheese with a total weight of 1463.30 kg, designated by Permigiano Reggiano. The market value of these cheeses varies from 32 to 40 euros per kilogram. The amount of seized goods can reach 59,000 euros

Last November, a Ukrainian tried to pass 280 kg of cheese from Poland to Ukraine. The product was found under the trunk lining and in the car door.
