A 34-year-old Wisconsin man went to the police on Sunday after allegedly destroying $ 5,000 of his own property, police said.

A Wisconsin man used an ax to destroy many of his expensive personal property after thinking that his wife had damaged his characters and then called 911 after being realized that he had reacted excessively, police said.
The unidentified 34-year-old man called after 22 hours. Sunday, according to a blog post from the Madison Police Department.

Police Chief Michael Koval said after the departure of the suspect's wife, the man used an ax "to destroy the television, its support, a laptop and many other objects of the house."
