A 23-year-old woman allegedly detained against her will cried and had "a horrified look" when police found her at her alleged kidnapper in Boston, according to a police incident report of Boston.
Victor Pena, 38, charged with the kidnapping of Olivia Ambrose, was arrested after the authorities claimed that he was found in his Charlestown apartment on Tuesday with Ambrose , who disappeared on Saturday night.
When the investigation into the disappearance of Ambrose intensified, the police followed the last known sound signal from his phone to a complex of apartments. The detectives showed surveillance footage to their neighbors, claiming that the suspect looked like Pena, according to the incident report obtained by WCVB, a subsidiary of ABC Boston.
The missing 23-year-old girl's phone was also reactivated and she started sending messages to her mother, the report said.
On Tuesday, maintenance staff was called to open the door of Pena's apartment, and before breaking through the lock, the detectives waited for about 20 minutes and repeatedly struck .
"Once the upper lock was disassembled, but before the lower locks opened, the detectives heard the locks open from the inside," according to the report.
Pena, who was at the door, "resisted violently" when the authorities tried to handcuff him, according to the report.
