A California man was arrested for allegedly harassing families at the Parkland School in Florida. He shot victims with grim social media account name messages referring to Nikolas Cruz, the alleged gunman.

Brandon Fleury, a man from Santa Ana, California, was arrested last week and charged with harassment, as well as a leader with threats of kidnapping a family member of one of the victims of the shooting of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School last February, reported BuzzFeed News, citing authorities

. By using Instagram accounts containing Cruz's photo and user names such as "nikolas.killed.your.sister", "nik.taunts" and "nikolasthemurderer", Fleury reportedly sent threatening and emotionally scary messages to Parkland victims of gun control measures in the weeks and months that followed the shooting.

"I killed your dear hahaha" and "I kidnapped you Jaime," read some of the messages. Fleury would have sent via these accounts.

At least one of the accounts identified by BuzzFeed as supposedly belonging to Fleury remained active on Instagram on Wednesday afternoon. Instagram representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Hill on the status of the account.

In court documents posted by BuzzFeed, prosecutors noted that Fleury had admitted to doing "stupid shit" on the computer, but had maintained his messages were intended to constitute credible threats of violence.

According to information gathered by the court, it looked "more like taunts," Fleury told investigators.

But when he was questioned, he could understand why "I kidnap you, fool" could be considered a threat, he would have answered: "I guess so," according to the documents filed by the court.

He was extradited to Florida where he is awaiting trial. [19659010] (function (d, s, id) {
