During the obscuration of the "Bloody Moon", a meteorite is passed. Astronomers have managed to repair it for the first time in history.

National Geographic magazine writes about it

A moonlight darkened in the night of January 20 to 21. People from different parts of the world attended the entire lunar eclipse, called "Bloody Moon". A little earlier, scientists from the University of Spain in the city of Huelva had already tried to repair a meteorite that would fly with a lunar eclipse. They tried to do it for years. However, they did not succeed.

This time, they immediately used 8 telescopes and sent them to different parts of the moon's surface. Spanish scientists have managed not only to see the flash for a month, but also to fix it on the video.

Some viewers decided that it was an optical deception or a problem with the show or the camera. However, Spanish scientists concluded that it was a meteorite that collided with the lunar surface.

It is thought that the meteorite could weigh about 2 kg and had the dimensions of a football

"Bloody Moon" is a rare combination. At the same time, three astronomical phenomena: a complete lunar eclipse, a bloody moon and a superfluid one. When the eclipse is complete, the moon becomes dark red. This color is due to the weak light that dissipates in the Earth's atmosphere. To estimate the brightness of the satellite, use the Dunjong scale from zero to four. Yes, zero means very dark eclipse. Four of them are coppery red or orange
