The former Samsung executive will solve Apple's battery problems

Apple recently hired a battery design manager who operated under Samsung. Bloomberg reported this.

Soonho Ahn previously held the position of vice president of Samsung SDI and worked in lithium-ion batteries and the "new generation" of battery technology. According to a profile on the social network LinkedIn, Sun Hoi An joined the Apple team in December as international manager of the battery development unit.

Apple used Samsung SDI batteries before. The company is now trying to reduce the influence of the components of competing companies. Apple is therefore working on its own Micro LED technology for future device screens, to also mitigate the impact of Samsung on Apple. The company is also expanding its systems-on-a-chip development and investing in its own mobile modems.
