The initiator of the petition is the mother of a baby, Denis Fergus. His two-year-old Liverpool son, born in 1993, was seduced by two ten-year-old schoolboys. They mocked the boy for a long time, then were killed.
The mother of the child is convinced that the director Vincent Lambre supports the assassins. She says that he has not even tried to contact James's relatives.
The petition had already collected more than one hundred thousand signatures but had not reacted to the Film Academy.
