Messenger Hangouts will cease gradually as of October 2019

The hangouts have been closed for a long time and Google has officially designated the final "dead" date of its project – October 2019 – and clarified the features of the project closure. The disconnect will be gradual and will be the first to lose G-Suite users' messenger access.

G-Suite is a convenient Google service with a complete set of tools to use your domain name with certain Google products. In addition to Gmail, Calendar, and Docs, it also includes Hangouts, which will be turned off in October.

Instead of the old version of Google Messenger, all business customers will be forwarded to Hangouts Chat for Hangouts Meet and Messages for video conferencing. Ordinary Hangout users will continue to work until other users are redirected to a new messenger.

However, this attempt to access the Hangouts live chat may prove futile, at least for people who do not pay G-Suite.
