Raper Canyon West has brought two lawsuits against Roc-A-Fella Records, owned by Jay-Z and the EMI label, each requiring material compensation
West said that after signing the contract EMI in 2003, he had become the author of more than 200 pieces whose rights returned to the label. With one of the most powerful law firms in the West, the West intends to review the rights and obligations of the parties, obtain the amount owed to them over the years, and regain control of the situation.
The lawsuit also lists Westa awards, including 21 Grammys.
Similar requirements also apply to Roc-A-Fella Records.
