A Best Buy security officer who attacked a wanted man under a felony warrant – and who has just hit a police officer – was reportedly sent back for good deed because it was contrary to the policy of the company.

Placer County The Sheriff's Office stated that the incident occurred at the Best Buy in Roseville, California, in the suburbs of Sacramento.

Timothy Trujillo, wanted by the Nevada State Police under a warrant for arrest, reportedly beat a police officer and attempted to flee when deputies would be at the helm. He arrived in Roseville on January 11th.

"When they confronted him, the man hit one of the detectives and tried to run away. It was then that the security guard attacked the man, preventing him from escaping, "Placer County sheriff The office spokesman, the Lieutenant Andrew Scott, told FOX 40.

Tyler however states that the policy of the company is that employees should not touch anyone, and he soon suspects that he might have "some problem". A week later, he stated that he had been fired.

"My manager called me and told me that the company had decided to let me go because I had used excessive force and that it was against Best Buy's policy of intervening, "he said.

Best Buy defended his policy in a statement to FOX40.

"Our policy is clear, employees should not chase potential criminals outside the store," the company said. "Hunt a person on the parking lot creates a security risk that is not worth taking, no matter how nobility an employee intends."

Tyler stated that he was just happy to have brought out a wanted criminal from the street and that he had plans to begin studies in April.

"It seemed like it was the right thing," he told FOX40. "As I said, it was a person who was running away from the cops, it seemed like the logical thing to do."

Trujillo faces numerous charges, including assault and resistance from a peace officer, burglary, possession of theft tools and methamphetamine, according to the office of sheriff. He was arrested at South Placer Prison, where he remains in detention without bail.
