The snow forecast in Alabama has undergone very big changes during the night.

The ground is growing
This could change later in the morning for those in central Alabama, where a winter notice is still in effect.
The councils of the winter weather districts of central Alabama are still in effect. are: Walker, Blount, Etowah, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, St. Clair, Talladega, Clay, Randolph, Chilton, Coosa, Tallapoosa, Rooms, Dallas, Autauga, Elmore, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Shelby, Sumter, Sumter, Greene, Hale, Perry, Bibb and Marengo.
It will be in effect until noon.
In southern Alabama, the counties targeted by a winter weather advisory are Choctaw, Washington, Clarke, Wilcox and Monroe. It will also be in effect until noon.
It was expected that the rain would change to snow from northwest to southeast this morning, the meteorological service announced.
The snow was to finish around noon.
There can be strong gusts of snow and areas up to one inch.
What about the north of Alabama?
The National Weather Service in Huntsville said the colder air had been slower than expected in northern Alabama and winter storm warning for the entire region.
