The former world champion mixed martial arts (MMA) Khamis Mammadov died in Azerbaijan, after getting cold, swallowed the cold air after the sauna. The fighter was 34 years old.

At the country's Ministry of Health, he was declared hospitalized for acute pneumonia. Despite all the resuscitation measures, Mamedov died two days later of pulmonary thromboembolism. The parents refused to undergo a medical examination.
The funeral took place in the hometown of Sabriad, athlete.
Mammadov became popular especially for the victory won in Dagestan in 2005-2006 over the Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov, UFC lightweight champion, in 2011 Nurmagomedov managed to smother the home.
