On Sunday, CNN found more racist and reprehensible images in the book. None of them seems to show Northam.
Democrats across the country have demanded that Northam resign after publishing a photo of the yearbook showing a person dressed in blackface and another dressed in white dress and hood and gown Ku Klux Klan. Sara Sidner of CNN spoke to one of two black classmates, Walter Broadnax, featured in the # 39, 1984 yearbook. He said that he had had good experience at the Norfolk School of Medicine.
"There was no problem, the faculty was great, I have never seen anything like it at any party or anything," he said. "We got along well, I do not know what's the deal behind all this."
When asked how he reacted by seeing the picture of people dressed in Blackface and wearing the Klan uniform, Broadnax replied, "This shocked. was really frustrating, damn it was in 1984, nobody did that kind of thing as far as I know at the time. "
Speaking of Northam in particular, Broadnax has stated: "I have never found Ralph must be racist.He was like everyone else."

On Friday, the governor confirmed that he was one of the people photographed and apologized, calling the costumes "clearly racist and offensive".
But on Saturday, he convened a press conference to say that he did not think to be one or the other on the photo.
While denouncing racism further, he admitted that in 1984, he participated in a dance contest and darkened his face to give him the appearance of Michael Jackson.

On Sunday, a source informed directly of the governor's thinking told CNN that Northam had not changed his mind.
Northam invited a group of senior colored officials, including cabinet secretaries, to a meeting Sunday night to discuss issues related to the publication of the racist photo in his medical school directory, according to two sources, including one inside the administration.
The meeting was reported for the first time by BuzzFeed News.
Governor Justin Fairfax did not attend the meeting, told CNN a person close to Fairfax. Fairfax, who is black, could become governor if Northam withdraws.
A spokesman for the governor told CNN that they would not say what happened at the meeting.
