– Since his childhood and in the army, football is still my element and my love. I try to help the children and village teams. As a fan, I watch not only the European Cup matches, but also the matches of the championship of Ukraine. I do not do it often at the stadium. Last year, he visited only a few games. I think football will be back – I want to create a children's football school.
– The Carpathians are now much criticized, mainly because of their unclear results. It goes to the players, the leaders, the president.
– When I led the organizing committee of the celebrations in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Carpathians, in my report presented in the hall of the city council meetings, in front of the veterans of the club, I mentioned about all the people who, for half a century, managed this club and helped it. "The team has periodic success, of course, the fans want the best results, but given the economic situation in Ukraine, we must thank the person who kept the club and carried a heavy burden on his shoulders" I say then.

– You studied at the Faculty of Economics of Ivan Franko University and came to practice your craft in football. What did the club look like in 1992 when you became president?
– I loved football a lot and I was not particularly hesitant. All the Carpathian football players of my youth did not need a presentation and I recognized it even without a number on the back or commentator indication. For me, this team has always been special.

I was a member of the board of directors of the football club, led by Carlo Miklosh. – Yes, of course. Everyone understands that otherwise the Carpathians would escape. We could not lose our total concentration. I understood it perfectly. We managed not only to stay in the High League, but also to qualify for the Cup final and to adequately resist Dynamo. In addition, the Carpathians were the youngest High League team with Husin, Kardash and Romanishin at that time, and they were not yet 20. We finished 6th and then 5th. Yet we have stabilized the situation and preserved the image of the Carpathians. Even today, our club has its own name and is special.
– The first coach of the Carpathians, Stepan Yurchyshyn, recalled the first championship without nostalgia and admitted that his team was based on the barracks. Has the infrastructure been so bad?
– I would not say. In our property, there was a house in Pogulianka, the football players hired us a house. The Carpathians had a base and a football field where the collection took place. Of course, everything was modest, as in the Soviet era. Due to certain provisions, managed to get apartments for footballers. We received a small amount of money from the "Ukraine" market located near the stadium.

I do not quite understand why ordinary football players earn so much money – they should be closer to people. The current players were modest and understood the economic situation – there was no type in the Carpathians who asked for anything or behaved without culture.

– I could meet the team and promise them an extra reward for a certain match.
– Uncertainties related to the monetary unit, coupon and ruble problems of the Carpathians were also felt?
– It was a disaster. Sometimes you had to pay more than 100% for a loan. The footballers received a salary, not as a bag but as a large sum of money (smiles).
– You and the club have repeatedly helped the veterans. In addition to the Kulchytsky case, for example, you have organized celebrations in the village of Klyucharka, in Zakarpattia, where Janos Gabrov was born.
– Yes, we opened a commemorative table at the school where Gabrov was studying. They also helped set up commemorative plaques in houses inhabited by personalities: Edward Kozinkevich, Vladimir Bulgakov, Carlo Miklosh and Yuri Zubach. I was the organizer and the main patron of the installation of a memorial panel "Lviv – Fatherland of Ukrainian Football" in Stryi Park in honor of the first football match on Ukrainian territory

– I had to hear that it was not easy to arrange the trips – they stated that the club had enlisted with the support of authoritative people at the time in Lviv bandits circles. They say that they helped the Carpathians in round-trip matches.
– Most often, went by bus, could sometimes sit on the train. We went to the bus "LAZIVSKIY" for Poltava, Kiev, Odessa. At that time, this was considered a standard and no problem arose.

– When I left the club, I had some dreams that, however, did not come true. I started discussions on the purchase of Sergei Popov at Shakhtar and Dmitry Mikhailenko at Dnipro. We needed to strengthen ourselves, I had my plans and my serious tasks.
– The Carpathians had to dig holes after the main actors left Lviv. For example, the legendary Andriy Gusin passes Carpathians. How was it really?
– At first, Gusin was not easy here. Andrew was a little afraid of stiff joints, played in an attack and often stood up. However, it stands out and this development made sense. Naturally, his ascent was a matter of time. Valery Lobanovsky noticed Andrew and it happened that Dynamo just needed a player in the middle of the field.

On the eve of the Ukrainian national team, coach Oleg Bazylevych called me and asked me to advise one of the Carpathians footballers. I called the name Husin. – You became the first person to join Miron Markevich in the Carpathians. But in this story, everything was not so simple?
– Lviv is a special city. Economically, politically and commercially, but on a football plan and on a podium. I saw Carpathian coach Lev Brovarsky, who respected him a lot and relied on his experience. Markevich, I also knew from an early age when we played together for the Kamenyar team led by his father. Myron Bogdanovich was working in Lutsk and I simultaneously negotiated with two candidates.
A few days before my final choice, I met on the street near the Institute of Physical Education and spoke with Yuri Dyachuk-Stavytsky. That was enough for the evil languages to decide, as if I had already invited Markevich and deceived Brovarsky. It was Friday, I had to represent the head coach. He arrived at the Pioneer Pogulianka Stadium and informed Captain Yuriy Mokrytskyy that he had helped Yaroslav Dmitrasevich to conduct his training. I call Brovarsky on the morning of the Sabbath.
– Have you heard any rumors about your conversation with Diachuk-Stavytsky?
– "Bogdan Stepanovich, have you ever decided and drove my nose?" Such words began our conversation, Lev Rudolfovich. In short, they created a situation not so good. I decided everything instantly and finally, an idea with Markevich appeared in the middle of the night.

– Ex-women call Miron Bogdanovich, an excellent psychologist. Take for example the "four thrillers" of the Carpathian – Chernomorets era. For the break, the hosts went, yielding 1: 3. – Фінал Кубка України 1993 го – одна з найяскравіших сторінок новітньої історії Карпат. Для багатьох він запам'ятався поїздкою на спеціальному потязі до Києва. Наскільки важко було його організувати?
– Зовсім неважко. Існувала підтримка від Львівської залізниці – розумієте, у Львові Карпати всі люблять (усміхається). Бажаючих було багато – чимало людей вирушили до столиці автобусами. Команда жила в київському готелі "Спорт" – з самісінького ранку під готель приїхали "Ікаруси" від заводу "Полярон". Прямо під вікнами на траві люди розстелили обруси, снідали, пили чай і співали українські пісні. ! Ух, це було дуже класно
– Якими були ваші стосунки з представниками Динамо, зокрема, президентом клубу Віктором Безверхим, якого певною мірою викреслили з історії українського футболу
– Жодної зверхності не було ні від Йожефа Сабо, ні від президента Віктора Безверхого. Абсолютно нормальне ставлення. Безверхий – це дуже інтелігентна, розумна і поважна людина, яка багато зробила для Динамо. На той час такої моделі управління клубом не мав практично ніхто в Україні. . Повірте, це було непросто запровадити і створити те, що він зробив у Динамо
– Ще одна легенда про той фінал – обіцянка тодішнього мера Львова Василя Шпіцера. Мовляв, у випадку перемоги Карпат, над Ратушею протягом всього дня майорітиме зелено-білий прапор. . Сам пан Шпіцер не підтверджує і не спростовує цю історію
– Я теж не вигадуватиму про прапор, але про підтримку влади можу розповісти один факт. Двічі на тиждень о 8-ій ранку мер міста приймав мене у Ратуші. Я приходив до нього, ми пили чай і вирішували, що можемо зробити для клубу.

Коли організовували спецпотяг до столиці, то зустрічалися зі Шпіцером та Георгієм Кірпою. Пригадую, як очільник Львівської залізниці поставив переді мною свою візитку і вимогливо сказав "Напиши мне здесь, что вы приедете с Кубком Украины во Львов". ? – У Федерації ми поводили себе дуже скромно. Однак всі поважали львів'ян і знали, що нам завжди треба поступатися в певних дипломатичних аспектах. Ми ніколи не підводили людей, які нам довіряли. Карпати ще в той час хотіли ліпити єдину Україну і дуже добре ставилися до кримчан у Львові. Після поєдинку наставник Таврії Анатолій Заяєв щиро дякував за організацію золотого матчу. Згодом нам вдалося провести у Львові матч "молодіжок" України та Голландії

– Ви добре зналися з президентом ФФУ Віктором Банніковим. Легендарний екс-футболіст був хорошим менеджером?
– Наші стосунки складалися по-різному, але загалом я можу згадати про Баннікова лише хороші речі. Щоправда, був один курйоз. Карпати зіграли внічию 0:0 із Шахтарем і я літаком вирушив до Києва на гру Динамо з Чорноморцем. Ми якраз завершували трансфер Топчієва в Динамо.

Прийшов на стадіон, привітався з коментатором Сергієм Савелієм, а тут журналісти з проханням про інтерв’ю підійшли. Я не відмовив і жартома сказав, що Топчієв ще не офіційно є гравцем київського клубу.
– Однак він вже був у старті на матч з Чорноморцем?
– Баннікову довелося згодом офіційно все це спростовувати. Мовляв, Богдан Степанович трохи погарячкував і Топчієв вже підписав контракт з киянами (усміхається).
– На початку 90-х потрапляння команди в єврокубки автоматично означало шокову терапію для міста та клубного господарства. Вихід в Кубок володарів Кубків і приїзд ірландського Шелбурна до Львова означав серйозний іспит для Карпат. Як вам вдалося впоратися з підготовкою до цього відповідального матчу?
– Це був престижний та іміджевий матч, якому передувала велика праця. До нас приїжджав комісар з Німеччини, ми мали дотриматися всіх вимог. Про легковажність не могло бути мови. До речі, у нас виникали певні проблеми з організацією трансляції. Спочатку все зводилося до того, що транслюватиме поєдинок іноземна компанія, однак в останній момент із Федерації зателефонували і я писав заяву від руки на користь компанії Володимира Лашкула – мовляв, ми віддаємо перевагу їй.
– Потрапляння у єврокубки посприяло встановленню на "Україні" спеціальної огорожі?
– Так, ми робили це спеціально до гри з Шелбурном. Цей період запам’ятався мені назавжди. Пригадую заповнений стадіон, прекрасну погоду… З підтрибунних приміщень з’являються команди, звучить марш. І саме в цей момент у мене потекли сльози… Був дуже щасливий, що ми зробили це і все було суперово.
– Карпати перемогли вдома 1:0, але в Дубліні поступилися 1:3.
– Нам бракувало досвіду. На тій грі були представники Панатінаїкоса, з яким ми могли зустрітися в наступному етапі. Також виїзд в Ірландію я використав, як певний бізнесовий хід. Взяв із собою 30 представників влади та бізнесу, яких розглядав у майбутньому, як інвесторів і меценатів клубу.
– У час вашого правління йшла мова про те, що Карпати хочуть придбати німецькі бізнесмени. Реальний варіант?
– Напевно, такий реальний, як і зараз, про який ми читаємо в пресі. Багато розмов і нічого конкретного.
"Чому я повинен був триматися за управління клубом?"
– Ви пішли з Карпат спонтанно, несподівано і навіть дивно. Невже причиною цього стала банальна поломка автобуса?
– Я вирушив за кордон із дитячою командою. Основа Карпат поїхала в Ковель на товариський матч. По дорозі автобус зламався. Футболістам довелося добиратись попутним транспортом, хтось їхав на таксі. Мені було дивно – невже з цього варто робити таку проблему. Навіть найдорожчий автобус міг би зламатися. Вони не могли поїхати на таксі? Клуб компенсував би усі витрати.

Про цей випадок навіть статтю написали в газеті "Вільна Україна". Почалися розмови про те, що є певні люди, які готові вкладати в клуб більші кошти. Відбулася зустріч в облдержадміністрації у присутності губернатора. "Якщо хтось готовий інвестувати більші кошти, то я готовий передати йому клуб", – сказав я на зустрічі.
– Цією людиною став екс-гравець Карпат Роман Гірник?
– Так. Того ж дня я передав йому всі документи і фактично клуб перейшов у його управління.
– Гірник був президентом Карпат лише протягом двох років, а у 2000 році його застрелили поруч із власним будинком. Як відбувалося ваше спілкування з новим президентом?
– Образи на Карпати чи нового власника в мене не було. За три роки я чимало вклав у клуб. Можливо, шкодував трохи про своє рішення, але людина мала кращі фінансові можливості. Чому я повинен був триматися за управління клубом? Я ніколи не втручався у діяльність нового керівництва – кожен повинен відповідати за свою роботу.
– Хто був тією людиною, яка розганяла історію про зламаний автобус?
– Тренерський штаб, адміністратори… Гравці теж по-різному сприйняли все це. Звичайно, якби я був у Львові, то миттєво вирішив би проблему з автобусом.
– Практично відразу ви стаєте президентом стрийської Скали, а після кількох років у політиці успішно повертаєтеся у футбол завдяки золочівському Соколу. Скромний клуб із райцентру пройшов унікальний шлях з аматорського футболу до Першої ліги.
– Треба відзначити, що я заручався підтримкою багатьох людей. У мене були певні знання, я любив футбол і хотів все це зорганізувати. У золочівському Соколі я, наприклад, був практично батьком для футболістів. Ми успішно грали в Кубку України, виходили неодноразово в 1/16 фіналу, перемагали команди з Вищої ліги. Крім того, встановили майже вічний рекорд. У 2000/01 роках друголіговий Сокіл за весь сезон пропустив лише 6 голів! Це при тому, що 3 з них залетіли з пенальті, а ще в одному випадку стався автогол. І це у 30 турах!
– Ви багато років були у політиці і навіть зараз продовжуєтеся займатися цією справою. Тут важче, ніж у футболі?
– На жаль, всюди є нечесність і несправедливість. Соціальний рівень життя значної частини населення є дуже низьким. Українці їдуть за кордон… Не хочеться бути осторонь проблем. Хочу допомагати хоч трохи в межах своїх можливостей. Я був у різних партіях, постійно перебуваю в пошуку. Зараз очолюю одну з політичних партій у Львівській області.
Поки маю здоров’я, хочу бути активним і долучатися також до футбольних справ. Мрію про футбольну школу, де б до учнів ставилися краще, ніж до власних дітей. Футболіст взагалі повинен бути всесторонньо розвинутим, щоб досягнути успіху. Він повинен бути інтелектуалом і мати освіту. Футболіст має бути справжнім професіоналом.
– Ви кажете про своє бажання повернутися у футбол. Так сталося, що з Карпат ви пішли спонтанно і неочікувано. Крім вищезгаданих трансферів, ви, мабуть, мали не один задум, який хотіли втілити в життя. Як саме ви бачили розвиток клубу надалі і якими були б ваші Карпати через багато років?
– Карпати мають бути справді народною командою. Принаймні, так я уявляв собі розвиток клубу. Для Галичини це все має існувати в комплексі. Не має бути поблажок в контексті сплати податків, але повинна існувати група людей, які відповідатимуть за життєдіяльність клубу.
Я не розумію, чому міські голови Буняк та Садовий ставили свої амбіції вище, ніж все решта. Чому ці люди не домовилися з Димінським? Нічого нереального в цьому немає. Добре, що збудували "Арену Львів". Однак чому не зробити "золотий парк" з готелями і тунелями навколо "України"?
– Діалог клубу з владою повинен бути, як у часи вашого президентства?
– Спілкування і порозуміння зараз повністю відсутні. Що там казати, якщо місто забудовують без жодної концепції і дотримання архітектурно-будівельних норм. У нових мікрорайонах відсутні садочки та школи. Житлові будинки зводять біля АЗС, ТЕЦ та високовольтних електромереж. Гроші вирішують все…
Треба віддати належне Димінському, який стільки років тягне клуб. Збоку здається, що це дуже легко. Люди, команда і львівський футбол повинні стояти вище будь-яких амбіцій. Мер має знаходити спільну мову з усіма. А у нас зараз ситуація, у якій немає переможців. Страждають тільки Карпати і вболівальники.
