Russian biathlon players were allowed to speak for Ukraine

The International Biathlon Federation has authorized Russia's Anastasia Rasskazova to play for the Ukrainian national team.

The Executive Committee of the International Union of Biathletists (IBU) officially authorized the Russian biathlete Anastasia Rasskazova to play for the national team of Ukraine. This is stated in a letter received by the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine on February 6th.

Rasskazova will be able to participate in the final phase of the IBU Junior Championship at Swedish Torsby (March 1-2), as well as at the Junior European Championship in Norway Shushen (March 6-10).

In the summer of 2018, Volodymyr Brynzak, president of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine, announced that the Russian biathletes Katerina Bech, Anastasia Rasskazova and Oksana Moskalenko would be naturalized and would present themselves alongside the Ukraine at international competitions.
