Her teenage daughter had been able to film some of what had happened, Conway added.

Ms. Inabinett's lawyer, William Alden McDaniel Jr., stated in a statement that his client "had not assaulted Ms. Conway", but that she "had exercised her right of first amendment to express one's personal opinions ".

He added that she intended to plead not guilty.
