A group of teenagers packing guns and a 12-year-old girl are facing murder charges after allegedly stealing and killing a rising country music star in Nashville, the police said.
Kyle Yorlets, one year old, behind his home and opened fire when he refused to give them the keys to his car, they said.
The suspects were identified as 15-year-old Diamond Lewis; Roniyah McKnight, 14 years old; Decorrius Wright, 16 years old; as well as the 12-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy whose names were chosen because of their age.
Prosecutors intend to charge them as adults, reported the Tennessean Nashville.
Police said the victim
"This is an absolute victim, an absolute innocence," said police spokesman Don Arron. He added: "None of the five individuals [arrested] are alien to the system or to this police service."
Police were looking for the 12-year-old who had fled from home since Thursday morning.
They quickly found articles on Snapchat showing the girl in a car "with other young people armed with firearms," the newspaper said.
The killers had stole a van in Oak Grove, Kentucky, and by chance, they found themselves in an alley behind Yorlet's house, said cops.
They saw it outside and took his wallet, but he refused to return the keys of his car.
