A car struck a church wall in Ohio during Sunday morning services, wounding six people and smashing stained glass windows. Firefighters said the six wounded United Methodist Church Crossroads United in Columbus had been treated for cuts and other injuries.

Reverend Jay Anderson said members were singing a hymn when the car crashed across the wall. He said the wall "just exploded" and pieces of glass were flying.

There were about 100 people inside the church during the incident.

Marie Winnestaffer was sitting in a bench that had been hit by the car. "I did not see anything, I just went with the flow, it made us slide down the hall," she told Columbus Dispatch. "It looked like a bomb."

The crash left a big hole in a part of the church. The police did not identify the driver or indicate whether charges were laid.
