A Florida politician shot dead an alleged intruder who had his vehicle enter another house while he was attempting to flee from his home. police,
Palmetto Municipal Commissioner Brian Williams opened fire. After seeing 22-year-old Avelino Misreal Vasquez-Perez, hidden in her garage and trying to break into the kitchen, Miami Herald reported.
"He defended his home and his family legally," said Chief of Police Scott Tyler.

Officers tried to stop about Vasquez-Perez around 10 pm. Thursday after seeing him drive with recklessness and suspected that he was impaired, police said. Vasquez-Perez accelerated, crashed into a Palmetto house and escaped with another passenger.
A cop caught the passenger shortly after, but Vasquez-Perez managed to get away and climbed a fence leading to Williams' backyard.

Williams, armed with a rifle, faced off Vasquez-Perez in his garage. The suspect tried to pass and punch Williams, who then pulled the trigger, hitting Vasquez-Perez twice.
Vasquez-Perez was taken to the hospital and should be able to recover from his injuries. He faces charges of resistance to arrest without violence, without burglary, without battery quotes and traffic.
"I'm happy that everything is going as planned. I guess he's fine and we're happy and happy that no member of my family has been hurt, "Williams said of the incident, according to the Miami Herald
Williams will not be charged in this incident as he acted autonomously – defense, police said.
