MISHAWAKA, Ind. (AP) – A footballer from an Indiana high school told investigators that he had killed a 17-year-old classmate because he was angry that she waited so long to tell her that she was pregnant with her child that it was too late to have an abortion, said authorities Monday
Aaron Trejo, 16, was charged with murder during the assassination of Breana Rouhselang and the fetus. He was arrested on Sunday, he is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday and he had no lawyer on his record.

After the removal of his body, Trejo recounted his walk on a river and throwing away his phone and the knife he brought back from his home as far as possible, said the police. Trejo told the investigators that he had been preparing the murder for about a week and that he had not told anyone about it.
Rouhselang, who was director of the Mishawaka High School football team, was last seen at his home around 11 pm. Saturday. His family called the police around 4:30 on Sunday after "feeling that something was wrong," said Lt. Alex Arendt of the homicide unit in St. Joseph County.
An autopsy determined that Rouhselang had died of several deaths.
Her stepmother, Nicole Rouhselang, told reporters Sunday that Rouhselang had been a softball coach, cheerleader manager and coach of the school's football team. . She also stated that her daughter-in-law was pregnant about six months old when she passed away. Indiana does not generally allow abortions after the 20th week of pregnancy.
"I've known her since she was 6," she said. "I just do not understand."
Mishawaka Superintendent of Schools, Dean Speicher, said that some of the 1,500 high school students had participated in a silent vigil on Monday morning in Rouhselang's honor.
Speicher stated that Rouhselang and Trejo had attended school in Rouhselang. since elementary school, but he knew no connection between them.
"They had known each other for a long time before they ended up – she was a manager and himself, a football player – at Mishawaka High School," he said.
Speicher said that he Was not aware of any prior violence between students.
"To our knowledge, there was no sign, everything seemed very normal," he said.
