NORTH CAROLINA (KSEE) – A man tries to kidnap a woman by forcing her to ride in her car, north of Charlotte, North Carolina. She frees herself and goes to a nearby karate studio to ask for help.
You already see how this ends: the suspect is taken on a stretcher after a fight with a chief karate instructor.
The incident occurred. at 9 pm Thursday in front of the Bushiken Karate Charlotte Dojo, according to CNN affiliate and Chief Instructor Randall Ephraim.
The WSOC reported that police had claimed that the man had attempted to force the woman into his vehicle near the karate school.
Ephraim told CNN that he
"There were still kids in the dojo who were being cared for by parents and a couple of adult students cleaning up when they were in the kitchen. a young woman walked through our doors and said someone was trying to hurt her, "he told CNN.
"A short time later, a big man entered the building," he said. "Not knowing what he wanted, I assumed he was inquiring about the courses.
" I asked how I could help him and he was stated that he was there for the lady. She insisted that she did not know him and tried to kidnap her. "
Ephraim says he asked the man to leave, but he declared that he was going nowhere." and swaying, "said the instructor.
" I then went to fight to defend myself and I took it out of the dojo. Once outside, he again tried to attack and was treated accordingly. "
The suspect also attempted to assault police officers prior to his arrest, according to the WSOC.
He was taken to hospital with injuries. It does not speak to him condition at this stage
