OMAHA, Neb.- A Nebraska who had served the sentence of killing his wife 20 years ago pleaded guilty on Monday to the murder of his parents and a niece last year,

According to the records of the Douglas County Court, John Dalton Jr., 46, pleaded in favor of three counts of first degree murder and four counts of weapons.

Prosecutors say He shot and killed John Dalton Sr., 70, Jean Dalton, 65, and Leonna Dalton-Phillip, 18, in Omaha last December. Police said that a 6-year-old niece was hiding under a couch and identifying John Dalton Jr. as the shooter. He was captured in Jackson, Tennessee.

There is evidence that Dalton pleaded guilty to manslaughter during the shooting of his wife, Shannon Dalton, in 1998. He was jailed and released on parole in 2010.
