A man was shot on the platform at 90 e Street-Elmhurst Avenue metro station on Sunday afternoon.
Police responded to 911 gun calls fired at 90 e Street-Elmhurst Av Tube Station at approximately 12:45 pm
Upon arrival, they found an elderly unidentified male 20-year-old unconscious and unresponsive, shot in the head.
EMS arrives and pronounces the dead man on the scene. There is no arrest and the identity of the victim has not yet been disclosed
The New York Times reported that the victim was arguing with two men on board from a train bound for Manhattan towards 90th Street. The conductor heard several gunshots, the Times reported, and then saw the victim lying on the platform.
The station was temporarily closed while the police were investigating.
