A group of teenagers dressed in "Make America Great Again" hats harassed a Native American veteran during the Vietnam War during the first Indigenous Peoples March on Friday.
A video posted online shows the troubling incident in Washington, DC, after a group of teenagers surrounded Nathan Phillips, mocking and harassing him while he was singing the song of the American Indian Movement. steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Social media users identified teens as likely to be students at the Covington Catholic School in Kentucky because of the badges on some of their clothing. Laura Keener, communications director of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Covington, issued a statement Saturday stating that they were investigating the incident.

Friday's Aboriginal People's Walk was held on the same day as the March for Life pro-life rally, and the Covington Catholic website shows that students and teachers attended the rally. The school was made secret after the viral video.
