A manager at the Atlanta Water Treatment Plant and a pumping station left large parts of the city without water Monday morning, officials said.
The exact scope of the failure is unknown.
The city said in a statement no water and low pressure in the areas served by the Hemphill water treatment plant and the pumping station. A boil water advisory is in effect for the city as pressure recovers, said the Atlanta Watershed Management Department in a statement.
