SYRACUSE, NY – A Syracuse University student who died Thursday was killed in a bus crash in New Jersey while visiting her family near New York, according to police the State of New Jersey .

Briana Herrera, 21, of Ozone Park, died when a bus and three cars were involved in an accident, state police said. Herrera specializes in information management and technology in iSchool, with a minor in public communication at Newhouse School. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, police said.
