KALISPELL – The rescued and resurrected cat after being encrusted in the snow and the ice takes hold of social media.
MTN News spoke with the veterinarian who saved Fluffy's life. We first reported Wednesday night that Fluffy cat was found injured and covered with snow.
Blues on his body, low temperature and weak vital signs, his veterinarian did not have much hope. But with the help of hot towels and a hair dryer, Fluffy began to recover miraculously – and after 45 minutes – he was acting normally.
Dr. Jevon Clark, Fluffy's vet, tells us that for 24 years he has never seen a case.
"I was really surprised, I trained a lot and I saw a lot of hypothermics, but it's normally a kind of accidental thing where the kids leave the door open and where the cat or the dog fate and nobody knows it for a few hours and it may be a little cold. Compared to that, the situation was a little different, said Dr. Clark.
Dr. Jevon tells us that Fluffy is healthy and adds that to avoid this, plan fresh water and a bed for your pet on the outside in case he gets stuck. In this way, they are not on a hard and cold floor and can stay hydrated at a pinch.
