The Democratic Representative of Alexandria, Ocasio-Cortez, criticized the GOP for its "intellectual bankruptcy" after unfounded rumors were circulated about its finances.
She tweeted Saturday: "This stuff is really sad. The group of operations is so intellectually bankrupt that it no longer engages in debates in good faith, but rather seeks to lie, to denature, to give its name, to target and to destroy people / communities by any means possible. It's a virus and a race to the bottom. "
She had already retweeted a message from John LeFevre, a controversial figure who wrote :" @aoc has a credit score of 430, two evictions, and an empty resume.
