Canalys analysts published a report on the smartphone market in China. The report is somewhat atypical and does not contain precise data on the number of devices sold by such or such brand, but it contains a lot of interesting information.

For example, the source says that in the third quarter of last year, China had sold 101 million smartphones compared to 119 million years ago. which corresponds to a decrease of 15%. In the fourth year, a much smaller decline was expected in the fourth year.

Huawei was cited as the market leader, followed by Vivo, Oppo, Xiaomi, Apple, Meizu, Samsung, Hisense, Nubia and Nokia. Apple, Huawei, Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi were among the top five, with Huawei only 1% behind Apple.

It is interesting to note that no Apple smartphone is among the top ten most sold in China. As can be seen in the infographic, the top ten are almost entirely composed of Vivo and Oppo devices.

With regard to Apple, which has largely adopted the position in the Middle East, about a third of the sales that were sold to it in the third quarter were aligned iPhone XS, but also sold perfectly the iPhone X and iPhone 8/8 Plus from last year.
