At least six people were killed and eight others injured Thursday in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 near Gainesville, Florida, authorities said .

Trailer gear and two passenger vehicles were involved in the accident, which occurred approximately one kilometer south of Alachua. Relief services from Alachua County firefighters reported that the flames were lit after 50 gallons of diesel fuel spilled onto the road.
