The total cost of the project amounts to 400 million euros
The largest wind power plant and one of the largest in Europe will be created on shores of Lake Sivash in Ukraine
The corresponding agreement was signed by the Norwegian company NBT, French company Total Eren and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, reports the press service of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, present at the signature.
The package of documents finances the construction of a wind farm for an amount of 150 million euros, the total cost of the project – 400 million euros.
Norwegian company NBT plans to build 67 wind farms with a total electrical capacity of 250 MW, which will be located along the northern coast of Siwash Lake
Français Total Eren is an independent power producer that develops, finances, invests, builds and operates long-term renewable energy power plants worldwide.
The President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Sumy Chakrabarty, said that Ukraine would initially become a regional leader in the field of renewable energy, and will then be a world leader. According to him, Ukraine is the second largest European market after Greece in terms of investments Total and NBT
"This shows that foreign investors return to Ukraine after reforms," said the president of the EBRD.
