HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (CNN) – Police search for a man who opened fire on a vehicle in the Houston area, killing a 7-year-old girl.
MPs reported that five people were in the vehicle neighborhood that was leaving a Walmart store when a man approached him and started firing.
The girl's 7-year-old mother was also touched by the arm and taken to the hospital. Another child was injured by shards of glass.
Two other people in the vehicle are not injured.
Investigators said they did not know what led to the shootings. The suspect had been described as a man, white, in his forties, with a beard. He was driving a red van.
