A couple was bruised after a violent attack that occurred during a
New Year's Turning Day
. Two-thirds of this group of attackers died later in the Kinnickinnic River.
Milwaukee police said Charles Barefield, 29, Shannan Nehmer, 19, and his 2-year-old daughter, Annamelia Hernandez, were all drowned in the river.
According to police officers, Barefiled, Nehmer and another unidentified man were part of the group committing robberies and attempted theft with the weapon.
"We have at least three people involved in violent street robberies.One of them fired shots," said MPP Deputy Chief Steve Caballero.

Carlos stated that they had fled with another person who was waiting for them. He said that he did not know what thieves wanted, so he never gave them anything.
"He was so scared," said Carlos.
Milwaukee police said the third man in custody was linked to robberies. He has not been charged yet. They entrusted the investigation of the river crash to the Wisconsin State Patrol for her investigation.
